JCCC staff serve as a resource to participants in its curriculum development workshops:

2020 - “Sustainability Across the Curriculum: Energy and Food Policy”
Coordinated a multi-day professional development workshop on the JCCC campus for 12 community college and university faculty from regional higher education institutions focusing on the integration of sustainability-related content into a range of curricula. Topics included the development of sustainability-related policy in energy and food systems.

2019 - “Sustainability Across the Curriculum: Building Connections”
Cooperated with staff from the University of Kansas to offer a multi-day professional development workshop on the Lawrence campus for 18 community college and university faculty from regional higher education institutions focusing on the integration of sustainability-related content into a range of curricula. Topics included ways to foster connections with elected leaders and agriculture policymakers.

2018 - “Sustainability Across the Curriculum: Campus as a Living Lab”
Cooperated with staff from the University of Kansas to offer a hybrid, multi-day professional development workshop on the Edwards campus for 10 community college and university faculty from regional higher education institutions focusing on the integration of sustainability-related content into a range of curricula. Topics included ways to build students’ sense of place and to use a campus’ built environment as an instructional tool.

Jay Antle has also served as a mentor for the past three years in AASHE’s Mentor program.

Krystal Anton regularly advises institutions about our bird strike remediation, including: Princeton, University of Mississippi, Kansas City Zoo, Safewings KC aka Missouri River Bird Observatory, Lakeside Nature Center, Colorado College, University of Missouri Kansas City, University of Kansas.
