We offer a quarterly newsletter to subscribers and have social media platforms on Facebook, Instagram, and Twitter.

Galileo's Pavilion, a LEED Platinum certified building, contains signage highlighting the sustainability features of the building. The signage text is also available for download on the building web page. The web site also contains a 10 min informative "tour" video for use in classes or for the general public.

We also have signage in other spaces describing campus reuse: near the Student Sustainability Sculptures, reused bleacher wood in the coffee shops and learning resource center, and other locations.

JCCC Students produced a campus map and brochure highlighting sustainable features of campus that community-based-research indicated may be unfamiliar to their peers. The brochure is updated annually and used to augment sustainability staff-led tours for credit classes, campus units' teambuilding exercises, and community members.

Yes

As a commuter campus, JCCC can't incorporate sustainability into the residential experience. However, we do offer regular tabling events where we talk about and demonstrate green cleaning options, recycling opportunities and education, healthier cooking, and how-to guides for composting, reuse, and other useful skills, including topics particularly relevant to students with young family members on how to talk with children about climate change and pollution.
