JCCC provides official support to a number of underrepresented groups on campus in a variety of formats. Some examples include:
Veterans have a separate office that provides peer support and programming
The Sunflower Grant (different than JCCC's sustainability across the curriculum program of the same name) is directly geared to provide resources and support for the Hispanic population
Access Services is designed to support and provide services for students with disabilities
JCCC is host to a chapter of “Queers & Allies ” for Gay, Lesbian, Bisexual, Transgender (GLBT) students
Active Minds also has a club with mentors and support for addressing the issues of mental health
