A brief description of the student educators program (1st program):
Campus Ministry employs two Fair Trade interns and three Sustainability interns who work together as students to educate the campus about sustainability and fair trade. They provide fair trade products for purchase, promote sustainable practices, staff the annual Fair Trade Expo, and advocate on campus for greater adoption of sustainable practices and fair trade products.
A brief description of the student educators program’s target audience (1st program):
The student peer educators are trained by the professional staff of Campus Ministry and through participation in workshops sponsored by the Ignatian Solidarity Network. The main target audience is the undergraduate student body. The interns run a series of programs throughout the year, such as Fair Trade tables in the student Atrium, campus posters, 'Swap Don't Shop" events, and bringing experts to campus to speak at events.
