Brief Description: John Abbott College is an English-language Collège d’enseignement general et professional (CEGEP) located in Sainte-Anne-de-Bellevue, Québec, Canada, near the western tip of the island of Montreal. John Abbott College is one of the eight English public colleges in Québec. The college was accredited in 1970 and opened to students the next year. It is housed in early 20th century buildings on a 1,600 acres (650 ha) campus shared with McGill University’s Macdonald College; John Abbott College has long been recognized as a prominent landmark in Montreal West Island community and has earned a reputation for being one of the most beautiful campuses in the public system.
