Name or title of the innovative policy, practice, program, or outcome:
Recycling Stations in the Cafeteria
A brief description of the innovative policy, practice, program, or outcome that outlines how credit criteria are met and any positive measurable outcomes associated with the innovation:
In Fall 2022, the college installed Recycling Stations in the school's cafeteria. Some 15 garbage bins were removed and were replaced with 5 stations, each with organic waste, landfill, recycling and refundable (cans and bottle) streams. These new stations divert waste from landfill and are projected to double the amount of organic waste collected on campus. In addition, the installation of the stations has re-started the collection of refundable materials for the province's consignment program.
