Does the institution host a peer-to-peer textbook exchange program, textbook lending library, or alternate textbook project?:
Yes

A brief description of the textbook exchange program, textbook lending library, or alternate textbook project:

John Abbott's library has a Textbooks on Loan program, which offers borrowing privileges to students in need, who cannot afford to buy required textbooks. Students must make an appointment with the Financial Aid department to be given a receipt that shows they are eligible, and then the library lends out the textbook to students for the whole semester. If available, these textbooks can be borrowed for a significant period to those who were not eligible through Financial Aid but are still in need. The library has textbooks to lend out from approximately 14 disciplines, with access to 230 books. Popular textbooks for loan are in Nursing and the sciences, as these tend to be the most expensive.

The library also provides required course books for 28 disciplines on the reserve shelf at the Circulation desk, which often helps other students in financial need. These books can be borrowed for a few hours and occasionally overnight.

Does the institution provide incentives for academic staff that explicitly encourage the authorship, peer review, and/or adoption of open access textbooks?:
