As an Achieving the Dream College, Jefferson has held several book talks on Underresourced Student as well as Jefferson has a mentoring, counseling, peer support, affinity groups, academic support programs, or other programs in place to support underrepresented groups at the college. The college has many support programs for underrepresented groups. This includes TITLE III - peer mentoring, Student Support Services, Ready To Work, Veterans Affairs, Diversity Coordinator and diversity activities among other things. Jefferson Foundation also offers a Student Emergency Scholarship and book fund.

The KCTCS Employee Assistance program provides confidential and professional consultation or counseling, 24/day, 365 days/year, at no cost. Additionally, the Staff Council has an Employee Emergency Fund.
