“Smart” Campus
The smart campus initiative strives to create an environment that promotes sustainability, health, productivity and safety.
Issues concerning safety, community outreach, learning environments, green architecture, etc. are central to establishing and
maintaining a smart campus. With the aging infrastructure and the increased demands and importance placed on this
infrastructure, the need to rebuild the college network and bring it up to current industry and KCTCS standards is of prime
importance. The college’s goal is to provide the infrastructure to support a system flexible in design to accommodate future
advances in technology.
