A brief description of the composting or mulching program:
Jefferson composts landscape waste where possible. On the Southwest Campus, landscape waste that accumulate along the edge of the property is composted for various trimmings. The Technical Campus recently purchased a composter for yard waste and other organic material. This is Jefferson’s first ever composter, providing a way not only of reducing the amount of waste that needs to be disposed of, but also of converting it into a product that is useful for gardening, or landscaping.
