A brief description of the metering system:
Jefferson receives a discount on its electric bill for owning its own medium voltage equipment. Louisville Gas & Electric supplies the college with 13800 volts into the Hartford Building on the Downtown campus. This feed supplies power to the Hartford Building, the Learning Resource Center, Vocational Technical Institute Building, and the new Health Science Building. There is only one meter on this 13800 volt supply, and it is located in the basement of the Hartford Building.
The Southwest Campus has a similar set up with one meter on the 13800 volt supply. This meter meters all the buildings on the Southwest Campus.
The Broadway Building has it’s electric meter.
