A brief description of the institution’s wellness and/or employee assistance program(s):

Students may take advantage of the services provided by the University Counseling Center and/or the University Recreation Center. All employees may participate in the Commonwealth of Virginia "CommonHealth" employee wellness program which has been operating since 1986. JMU is also one of the few Virginia State Agencies that is considered "worksite certified" meaning that JMU administers exemplary wellness programs in comparison with other state agencies. All full-time employees have access to the university employee assistance program (EAP).
