Electricity from on-site, clean and renewable sources (rights retained/retired) | 12,895 Kilowatt-hours | 44.00 MMBtu |
A brief description of the certified/verified sources of clean and renewable electricity:
A brief description of the on-site renewable electricity generating facilities/devices:
During the reporting year FY22-23, JMU only generated renewable electricity from a 7.5 kW wind turbine. The 10 kW Hillside solar array was being upgraded to a 300 kW array. This solar array connects directly and provides clean power to King Hall. JMU currently utilizes the wind and solar facilities primarily as teaching tools for students of JMU and surrounding Virginia schools.
