Data source(s) and notes about the submission:
Per STARS guidance, certification status of buildings must be current at the time of submission. Furthermore, data should be obtained for all new constructions and major renovations within 5 years of submission. Therefore, all data entered for this credit was obtained from FY 2016-2017 to FY 2020-2021.

According to STARS guidance: “Buildings for which certification is pending should not be counted as certified space, and these buildings may be excluded from the institution’s profile for up to 2 years following registration with a rating system.” Atlantic Union Bank Center, Hartman Hall, and Dukes Dinning are all pending LEED certification and are within two years of registration with LEED. Therefore, these buildings were removed from JMU’s profile.
