We are proud participants of the Virginia Green campaign. Virginia Green is the Commonwealth of Virginia’s campaign to promote environmentally friendly practices in all aspects of Virginia’s tourism industry. The Virginia Green program is run through a partnership between the Virginia Department of Environmental Quality, the Virginia Tourism Corporation, the Virginia Restaurant, Lodging & Travel Association, and the Virginia Green Travel Alliance. JMU has 11 locations VA Green Fully Certified. We must succeed in sustainability criteria such as waste minimization, energy efficiency, and water conservation.
