Criteria
Institution has calculated a natural water balance for the campus to assess the sustainability of its water withdrawals (e.g. institution water use compared to a water budget based on precipitation, potential evapotranspiration and campus/watershed area).

Applicability
This credit is optional and may be earned by any institution.
Scoring
Institutions earn 0.5 Innovation & Leadership (IN) points for this credit up to a maximum of 4 points for the IN category. An institution’s overall, percentage-based STARS score is increased by the number of IN points it earns.
Measurement
Report initiatives and results from within the three years prior to the anticipated date of submission.
