Data source(s) and notes about the submission:
Fiscal year (04-05 and 11-12) data entered by Michael Dalmolin, on behalf of Jason Rexrode. Data was converted to tons and to fiscal year. Student and faculty figures are from the Office of Institutional Research (OIR) Fall Census count as displayed in the Facts and Figures fiscal year release available on JMU's website. Staff figures are from IPEDS data as reported by the OIR.
Recycling weights do not include waste sent to the local incinerator. Garbage weights include waste sent to the landfill or is incinerated at the local Resource Recovery Facility (RRF). Further, data only include JMU's main campus and the Grace Street Apartments. A few properties owned or leased by JMU within the City of Harrisonburg's jurisdiction and in other cities throughout Virginia and internationally are not included.
