A brief description of the technology used:
In the past few years, JMU’s Facilities Management department has initiated several pilot projects testing the feasibility and reliability of LED lighting applications throughout campus, from outdoor applications to classrooms. Several major LED light applications, pending final approval, are slated to be completed this year, including the installation of LED lights in Bridgeforth Stadium’s concourse. Furthermore, in certain applications as light bulbs are replaced, JMU will install LED bulbs. In the past two years alone, JMU has replaced over 3,000 bulbs with LED technology.
