A brief description of the food donation program:
JMU Dining Services has partnered with Food Donation Connection (FDC) and their Harvest Program to donate leftover food from the dining locations to area social service agencies. A representative from the local Salvation Army, the primary recipient of Dining’s surplus food, picks up donations weekly for use in meals prepared there. Any donations that cannot be used by the Salvation Army are passed along to other area agencies in the program.
