The historically successful "Sustainability at Ithaca" program offers in-service trainings for college and university staff, departments and divisions. These sessions are customized based upon the needs of the Division.


A brief description of any external professional development and training opportunities in sustainability that are supported by the institution :

The Office of Energy Management and Sustainability (OEMS) also participates and tables at a number of events every year. OEMS speaks to IC groups and, through the Eco-Rep program, provides educational and outreach material.

Sustainability Week offers a number of educational sessions and engaging activities to further enhance their understanding and awareness.

IC also supports students, faculty and staff to attend educational conferences and professional events, including NYCSHE, AASHE, ERAPPA, APPA, and NYAPPA. OEMS also coordinates regular articles in the campus newspaper, The Ithacan.
