Cornell Cooperative Extension of Tompkins County has a long history of working with IC volunteers and interns across various kinds of projects in our community. Many of those are focused on environmental issues or around sustainability. This summer for example, we gave a paid internship to a graduating IC student to help us in our work on renewable energy.

Ithaca College is one of the origianl signators to the coalition, which is focused on the social, environmental, and econom justice associated with non-sustainable transportation. Through the coalition's ride sharing portal, we helped match up occupants to those already travelling by themselves and save ~ 100,000 miles of sinle occupanct travel every year, just from members of the IC community.
