2010-11 statistics: 1,697 full and part-time faculty and staff

1,562 staff vehicle parking permits issued in CY 2010 (parking permits issued in January are good for entire year). 1/562/1697 = 92% employees with registered vehicles

8% using other means of transportation (transit, carpooling, biking, walking)
5% using transit (see figures below)
3% using carpools, biking, walking

Based upon commuting survey of faculty/staff, 2% report they carpool reguarly.

TCAT transit bus rides are based upon presentation of staff ID card.
Average TCAT rides/month billed = 3,400. Assume 2 rides per commuter per day * 23 work days per month = 46 rides per commuter. # staff commuters = 74

Tioga Transit system rides are based upon purchase of unlimited ride monthly pass for each employee. 15 employees taking advantage of that system.

Chemung Transit system rides are based upon purchase of unlimited ride monthly pass for each employee. 4 employees are taking advantage of that system.
