A brief description of the undergraduate minor or concentration:
- Decarbonization and clean energies

Associated to identify and solve technical, political, and administrative challenges associated with the decarbonization of the industrial sector, particularly in subsectors with high energy consumption and/or high growth rates in consumption. Propose technical, administrative, and regulatory solutions to decarbonization issues based on rigorous analysis and modeling activities.

- Regenerative design

Upon completing the training unit, the student will be able to propose projects for development and regenerative design to act based on the vocation and potential of the site, as well as the understanding of its essence, which encompasses the territory, nature, its inhabitants, and their interaction processes, promoting their coevolution.

- City entrepreneurship

It aims for the student to acquire tools to manage urban spaces that "create city," recognize the value of the place, and understand contemporary society.

- Operational evolution for industry

The intention is for students to diagnose a production system using concepts and tools of operational excellence such as: basic quality tools, analysis and problem-solving, lean manufacturing, and project management.

- Systems and technologies 4.0

Area of digitalization, data analysis, and deployment of essential data for the implementation of Industry 4.0. This block integrates the analysis and interpretation of information obtained to solve problems and improve systems through prediction or estimation of events.

- Sustainable water use

The intention is for the student, based on the comprehensive diagnosis of a hydrological basin, to evaluate and propose strategies to ensure its water security considering uses, availability, available instruments, stakeholders, and current legislation.

- Economy and sustainable development

The intention is for the student to solve a challenge focused on proposing innovative and sustainable solutions that rethink the current economic model, as well as production and consumption models, in order to transition towards sustainable development that generates well-being, justice, and inclusion. It requires prior knowledge of data analysis, fundamental concepts of economics, sustainable development, and familiarity with the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs).
