ESG (environmental, social, governance) information for each investment manager recommendation is provided and discussed with the foundation’s investment committee. As an example, the following is information in conjunction with a recent manager recommendation: “The firm has an official ESG policy and has hired a dedicated ESG person. They do not invest in companies whose primary businesses involve weapons, nuclear technology, defense, tobacco or alcohol.”
