Of the institution's uncertified building space, what percentage of floor area is maintained in accordance with an energy management or benchmarking program? (0-100):
100

A brief description of the energy management or benchmarking program:

Iowa State maintains an online energy efficiency portal which details benchmarking information for utility services at each of its campus properties/buildings. In-house FAMIS data is used to track real-time ISU PowerPlant power generation, as well as monthly consumption data for all metered utilities for all ISU properties. This data is used to generate monthly building consumption benchmarking graphs to provide an at-a-glance comparison to trendlines for both the three-year average for the property, as well as a separate trendline denoting a consumption goal of 15% below a three-year running average. The benchmarking tool also allows for comparison among like building types (e.g. academic, scientific, administrative).

In addition, the portal provides a searchable database detailing the Energy Management Plan for each campus building, including HVAC and seasonal temperature setpoint information.

The portal also outlines several campus-wide energy efficiency initiatives and occupant participation opportunities to collectively reduce building energy consumption.
