The Student Wellness program is in its initial stages. A director was hired in August of 2016 who will serve as the key architect in the development of a Campus-Wide Wellness Program (CWWP) that supports the priorities and goals of Iowa State and the Division of Student Affairs and is grounded in a collaborative and interdisciplinary vision. The director will also coordinate existing and expanding programs targeting a wide range of critical wellness areas, including mental health and counseling services, financial health, and student health. In addition, the director will work collaboratively with other departments across campus to implement new programs directed at stress management, nutrition and “eating well”, high-risk alcohol and substance abuse, and sexual misconduct.
