A brief description of the innovative policy, practice, program, or outcome:
Closets Collide, which is a student group that organizes annual community clothing swaps and promotes sustainable fashion and clothing retail not only on campus, but also in the Ames community. In addition, the group organizes events with first-year students majoring in Apparel, Merchandising, and Design through the Common Threads learning community. Closets Collide also partners with Ames businesses and other student organizations, and membership is open to all majors and areas of interest. Information on the clothing swap can be found at:
