This program aims to connect young students to research groups to strengthen their research and innovation skills. During the program, students take extension, writing, and research publication courses, and some of them join research projects about sustainability.

All ITM students are invited to the call for participants. They must meet requirements of age, grade point average, active enrolment in an undergraduate or graduate program, and not be a beneficiary of another program.

A brief description of the formal training that the student educators receive to prepare them to conduct peer outreach:
The young researchers join a research group where they receive training, support, and advisory by professors. These young people become tutors of their peers at the institution.

It is a public call for participants funded by the ITM.

This program seeks to motivate students to pursue a scientific career and make the most of scholarships and internships. It also aims to establish alliances with research groups in the field of technological development or innovation accredited by institutions that are part of the National Science, Technology, and Innovation System of Colombia.
A brief description of how the student educators are selected (2nd program):
Students must meet the requirements of the first program and, in addition, those of Colciencias (i.e., the Administrative Department of Science, Technology, and Innovation of Colombia), which is a government agency in charge of promoting public policies to foster science, technology, and innovation in Colombia.
Requirements:
1. Being enrolled in a university institution accredited by Colciencias.
2. To have a tutor who is a member of a research group accredited by Colciencias.
A brief description of the formal training that the student educators receive to prepare them to conduct peer outreach (2nd program):
As in the first program, students join a research group and receive training and support by teachers. Afterwards, they train other students at the ITM

This program is funded by the national government and the ITM through Colciencias: 60% is provided by Colciencias and 40% by the ITM..
