Our institution is currently carrying out two research projects related to air and climate: 1. Calculation of the ecological footprint resulting from the mobility of Robledo campus of ITM University Institution (by a student of the Master of Sustainable Development program) 2. Inventory of greenhouse gases at the ITM – Fraternidad Campus (by a research group)

In relation to energy, we also have two projects: 1. Measuring the energy consumption of blended learning classrooms at Fraternidad Campus: The objective is to develop a system to monitor variables of electrical energy consumption and implement strategies for optimizing it (by a research group). 2. Electrical energy generation from solar power for laboratories (by a research group).

We completed a project called Development of a connectivity model to improve the mobility of the academic community of ITM Robledo Campus (by a student of the Master of Sustainable Development program).

Waste

Our institution has a composting area, which is visited by students of different academic programs to learn about the process of transforming organic waste. Also, some teachers do the practical work of their classes at this place.

The ITM has a Children’s Learning Center for the children of employees and students that develops different environmental education programs with the children. A student of the Master of Sustainable Development program proposed a methodology to teach sustainable development to the children at the Learning Center.
