The institution offers two courses in all its undergraduate programs:
1. Environmental Management: After this course about sustainability, students can understand the structure and function of ecosystems, the relationships of human beings with the environment, and the impacts human activities generate on natural resources. Additionally, they can propose actions to avoid or minimize such impact on the ecosystems in any scenario based on environmental management models.
2. Science, Technology, and Society: After this course that covers the topic of sustainability, students can understand the interrelationships between science and technology in different historical and social contexts. As a result, they can conduct a critical analysis of the positive or negative effects of science and technology projects on natural and social environments

The institution has two academic programs (one undergraduate, one graduate) focused on sustainability:
1. Bachelor of Environmental Science: Environmental Science is a multidisciplinary academic field oriented toward the planning and the sustainable use of natural resources and the environment.
2. Master of Sustainable Development: This program is a response to the warnings scientists from different fields publish every year about the impacts of our current development model. Economic growth is implicit in sustainable development, but, unlike traditional models, the latter also seeks environmental protection and social wellbeing.
