For the teachers: There is an action plan on Canadian research chairs with allocation targets, impacting faculty recruitment (including a survey and interviews with the teachers).
For the employees, there is a program oriented on access to equity at work, with measures to address the underrepresentation of designated group members within staff such as self-identification forms and accountability review in the fall of 2023.
In the Fall of 2020, INRS has conducted a survey regarding inclusivity at INRS as part of the renewal process of the Equity, Diversity, Inclusion (EDI) plan (with questions about inclusivity for different groups of the INRS community, comparisons between groups and in-depth interviews scheduled for the fall).

For research chairs: the contests give priority certain underrepresented groups depending on the target to reach. The survey on inclusivity feelings (conducted in 2022 in INRS) will lead in 2024 to the implementation of measures to promote a more inclusive climate, and that will be integrated into the next EDI action plan.
