A brief description of how sustainability is included in new employee orientation:
All new employees have access to the "New Employee Kit" on our intranet. This kit consists of a guided tour that provides more information about INRS and how it operates. This tour includes the "My life at work" section, which provides useful information specific to each of our site regarding sustainability (bicycle facilities, public transportation, carpooling, where and how to sort your waste, where to borrow reusable crockery, etc.).
Furthermore, this kit also contains information about the policies against harassment, discrimination, and incivility, as well as the policy against sexual violence. To this end, mandatory training modules on preventing sexual violence must be completed by every new staff member and every new student member of the community (https://inrs.ca/en/psychological-harassment-and-sexual-violence/).
