A brief description of the methodology the institution followed to complete the research inventory:
The employees who conduct research at INRS are all professors, regardless of their status, who are paid by the INRS. The full list of professors has been transmitted and validated by the Faculty Affairs Office, within the Scientific Direction.
The list of research topics for each professor is available online on the INRS website : each professor individually selected their research topics. The research topics field for each professor was improved using a list from the Office of Research Services where conventional research areas are associated with each professor.
The sustainable development advisor analyzed every research topic along with the professor’s online profile (including ongoing research projects and publications) in relation to the United Nations’ 17 Sustainable Development Goals and linked each professor to one or more SDGs. Professors with no connection to an SDG were removed from the list.
Finally, the list was revised and validated by the director of the Office of Research Services.
