A brief description of the institution’s main campus and other aspects of the institutional boundary used to complete this report:

Indiana University South Bend's campus is 120 acres and is home to 5214 students. This report includes data from Indiana University Institutional Research and Reporting.

Which of the following features are present on campus and which are included within the institutional boundary?:
Present? Included?
Agricultural school No No
Medical school No No
Other professional school with labs and clinics (e.g. dental, nursing, pharmacy, public health, veterinary) Yes Yes
Satellite campus Yes No
Farm larger than 5 acres or 2 hectares No No
Agricultural experiment station larger than 5 acres or 2 hectares No No
Hospital No No

The rationale for excluding any features that are present from the institutional boundary:

IU South Bend does not have an agricultural school, a medical school, a farm larger than 5 acres, an agricultural experiment station, or a hospital. Although the Indiana University system does have satellite campuses, this report specifically addresses the IU South Bend campus. IU Bloomington reports separately for the Bloomington campus, and IUPUI Indianapolis reports separately for the Indianapolis campus.

IU South Bend does have a School of Nursing, Health and Wellness Center, and Dental clinic. These are included.
