A brief description of the certified/verified sources of clean and renewable electricity:
IUPUI is a member of the EPA Green Power Partnership and has been recognized for meeting 10 percent of its electricity needs with green power. IUPUI purchases 10% of its electricity portfolio in Wind from Indianapolis Power & Light.
IUPUI participates in IPL's Green Power Option, a green purchasing program where the campus pays a premium to have a percentage of IUPUI's electricity sourced from certified green power producers, specifically Midwestern wind farms. IUPUI currently purchases 10% of its Central Electricity in this manner. This program is Green-e Energy Certified.
