The Office of the Vice President for Diversity, Equity, and Multicultural Affairs (OVPDEMA) strives to foster an inclusive environment that promotes and nurtures diversity, broadly defined on all campuses of Indiana University. This is achieved by strategically focusing on three critical areas: recruiting and retaining faculty and staff, and recruitment, retention, and timely completion of undergraduate and graduate students; promoting a welcoming and positive campus climate; and engaging in outreach and advocacy locally and nationally. https://diversity.iu.edu/


IUPUI's Division of Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion strives to educate, advocate, engage, and empower the IUPUI community by cultivating partnerships and resources to create and sustain an environment that is inclusive, equitable, and diverse.

  2. Antiracism Initiatives @ IUPUI: https://diversity.iupui.edu/initiatives/anti-racism-initiatives/index.html Includes a comprehensive list of initiatives for students, staff, faculty and the community, including a Racial Healing Project and a White Racial Literacy Project.

  3. The Office of Conflict Resolution and Dialogue Programs (https://diversity.iupui.edu/offices/ilce/index.html) provides resources for faculty, staff and community partners to support excellence in scholarship, teaching and engagement with diversity, equity and inclusion. Specific Training Provided by ILCE: • Conflict Resolution and Civil Discourse • LGBTQ+ Ally Trainings • Trainings in Cultural Competency • Trainings for Adaptive Education

  4. LGBTQ+ Center (https://diversity.iupui.edu/offices/lgbtq/index.html) supports a commitment to leadership development, academic inquiry, and local, national, and global engagement with particular respect to sexual, romantic, and gender identities. The LGBTQ+ Center is an inclusive campus community that welcomes people of all identities and provides support, resources, and advocacy to IUPUI students, staff, faculty, alumni, and the surrounding community.

  5. Multicultural Center (https://diversity.iupui.edu/offices/mc/index.html) is dedicated to promoting student development and support through diversity education and multicultural awareness. They provide Multicultural Leadership Empowerment Program; Social Justice Education and Workshops, Cultural Dinners & events, etc. Annual Events: Tunnel of Oppression; Social Justice Symposium
