1st campaign

Name of the campaign:
Power Down

A brief description of the campaign:

The IU Power Down campaign aims to reduce passive energy consumption on campus during prolonged breaks or periods of low campus activity by 1) reminding the university community of their role in responsible energy practices and 2) adjusting the building temperature set points outside of their normal range

University-wide notifications are sent out before breaks, and the Office of Sustainability works with IU's Energy and Utilities unit to quantify the impact of the Power Down campaign.
