- Planning & Administration (Strategic initiatives, diversity, affordability, innovation)
- Academic (Courses, research, other educational pursuits)
- Campus Engagement (student engagement programs, events)
- Public Engagement (volunteer opportunities, campus-community partnerships)

- Health & Wellness (Food, health, equity, and human sustainability)

RISE Curriculum & ePortfolio Development Grants support development of courses that incorporate the principles of RISE: Research, International experiences, Service learning, and Experiential learning.

Curriculum Enhancement Grant supports a wide range of faculty projects involving either individual course development or broader curricular development in face-to-face, online, or hybrid formats. Example projects include but are not restricted to those that would: enhance the effectiveness of courses through adapting pedagogies of engagement; use technology to enhance the effectiveness of a course; contribute to impact as a welcoming campus through learner-centered innovative, inclusive, and equitable classroom practices; develop innovative curricular materials or approaches; develop a new course or sequence of courses.

The STEM Education Innovation & Research Institute (SEIRI) seed grants program (SSG) is a competition that facilitates and supports STEM education innovation and research. Specifically, this opportunity provides funding to faculty members to develop, implement, and evaluate the impact of pedagogical innovations across multiple IUPUI STEM courses.

The IU Grand Challenges are tackling economic, social, and environmental problems that negatively impact our state and the world. We define Grand Challenges as major, focused, and large-scale problems facing humanity that can be solved only by teams of dedicated researchers working across disciplines in collaboration with community partners. IU has three Grand Challenges initiatives in progress: Precision Health, Prepared for Environmental Change, and Responding to the Addictions Crisis. IU's Grand Challenges investments are large, focused, and measured by their impact—impact on individuals, communities, the economy, and the quality of life in Indiana and beyond.

The Welcoming Campus Initiative is tied to IUPUI’s strategic goals outlined in Our Commitment to Indiana and Beyond: IUPUI Strategic Plan, especially our efforts to support student success, faculty and staff development, and community engagement. Support implementation of recommendations emerging from the Welcoming Campus Initiative, specifically related to these overarching themes: Communicating Who We Are; Creating a Vibrant and Inclusive Student Experience;
Designing an Accessible, Inspiring Urban Campus; Engaging and Integrating with the Community; Investing in Faculty and Staff

The IUPUI Center for Service & Learning provides two grant opportunities to faculty and staff to support service learning and civic engagement. The Service Learning Assistant Scholarship program provides scholarship support for student assistance with community-engaged teaching and research. The Dissemination Grants support opportunities to share your important work with a broader audience.
