IUPUI Parking and Transportation Services is committed to sustainable solutions and encourages our customers to find environmentally friendly transportation alternatives. These alternatives can save money while reducing our carbon footprint.
IUPUI has been working to replace large cargo vans and passenger mini vans with more economical vehicles with better gas mileage. IUPUI has also replaced many of the passenger vans with small economy cars.
All gasoline/diesel utility carts are in the process of being replaced with 100% electric.
Though not measured in this section, the Grounds crew has replaced a portion of their handheld two cycle equipment with 100% electric and has purchased their first electric mower with more on the way as funding becomes available.
