Total energy consumption (electric and non-electric)

Total energy consumption, performance year:
2,473,697.04 MMBtu

Clean and renewable energy sources

Clean and renewable electricity

Clean and renewable electricity (report kilowatt-hours):
kWh MMBtu
Imported electricity from certified/verified clean and renewable sources (i.e., bundled green power purchases) 0 Kilowatt-hours 0 MMBtu
Electricity from on-site, clean and renewable sources (rights retained/retired) 20,212.76 Kilowatt-hours 68.97 MMBtu

A brief description of the certified/verified sources of clean and renewable electricity:
---

A brief description of the on-site renewable electricity generating facilities/devices:
IUB has solar photovoltaic systems installed and on the grid on top of five buildings. The Indiana Memorial Union system is rated at 2.1 kW; the Briscoe Quadrangle system is rated at 23.15 kW; the Tulip Tree residence hall system is rated at 6.44 kW; the E-House system is rated at 4 kW; and the newest system on the IU Art Museum is rated at 5 kW.

Clean and renewable thermal energy

Clean and renewable thermal energy (report MMBtu):
MMBtu
Clean and renewable stationary fuels used on-site to generate thermal energy 161.80 MMBtu
Imported steam, hot water, and/or chilled water from certified/verified clean and renewable sources 0 MMBtu

A brief description of the clean and renewable stationary fuels:
This figure includes thermal production of the McNutt and Tulips Tree Residence Halls' solar thermal system. The Research and Teaching Preserve, Cyberinfrastructure Building (CIB), and Spruce resident hall all utilize solar hot water but the current monitoring system does not allow us to list that production. We also are not listing the "E-House" geothermal unit as it is not metered.

A brief description of the certified/verified sources of clean and renewable thermal energy:
IUB has no imported steam, hot water, and/or chilled water from certified/verified clean and renewable sources.

Unbundled renewable energy products

Unbundled renewable energy products (report kWh):
kWh MMBtu
Purchased RECs, GOs, I-RECs or equivalent unbundled renewable energy products certified by a third party 0 Kilowatt-hours 0 MMBtu

A brief description of the unbundled renewable energy products:
---

Metrics used in scoring

Total clean and renewable energy generated or purchased:
230.77 MMBtu

Percentage of total energy consumption from clean and renewable sources:
0.01
