A brief description of the institution’s efforts to support alternative fuel and power technology in its motorized fleet:

Where possible, Motor Pool purchases vehicles with flex fuel engines capable of using E85. We are evaluating hybrid and plug in hybrid vehicles as alternatives in each vehicle class. We began using a B5 blend biodiesel in all our diesel vehicles and equipment in FY18, year round. We are completing the application for NAFA Sustainable Fleet accreditation and expect to submit data for review in 2020.
