Supported by the Provost, the Innovation Fund is a competitive grant program designed to capture the best ideas from faculty and staff that will advance operational sustainability and involve students throughout the project.

A brief description of the multi-stakeholder decision-making process used to determine which projects receive funding through the sustainability projects fund:
Evaluation of proposals are conducted through a two-stage process. Stage one includes review of letters of intent by Sustain IU and stage two includes and final decision by the Innovation Fund Review Committee. The Innovation Fund Review Committee is comprised of the following members: the Faculty Co-chair of the Campus Sustainability Advisory Board (CSAB); the Operations Co-chair of CSAB; University Director of Sustainability; IUB Provost (or designee); and the Vice President of Capital Planning and Facilities (or designee).
