A brief description of how sustainability is included in new employee orientation:
New employees are invited to participate in and orientation session which covers topics of social justice, personal health, overview of the Healthy IU Program, mental health resources, public transportation options (all faculty/staff have free use of campus and city public transportation and may use their employee i.d. as a bus pass), information on campus walking trails. The welcome pack also includes a flash drive with recycling information as well as in some cases an informational sheet outline IU's AASHE STARS rating, active transportation options, how to join a sustainability working group, how to recycle at IU, and how to use the IU Surplus Store.
