IUB chose to use sustainability literacy questions from The Ohio State University's Assessment of Sustainability Knowledge (ASK) tool to assess sustainability literacy of Hoosier students. This tested battery includes questions pertaining to the ecological, economic, and social domains of sustainability.

IUB chose to utilize the OSU ASK tool in order to compare sustainability literacy of IUB students to that of students at other institutions. The survey was created in the fall of 2019 and administered from 3 February 2020 through 6 March 2020.

A representative sample was reached using Spring 2020 FTE figures provided by the Registrar's Office.
Survey is being deployed during February 2020 and results will be analyzed in April 2020. Response rates are expected to be similar to the 2017 survey.

A summary of 2017 survey results is attached. The 2020 results will be available in late summer 2020.
