A brief description of the institution’s LGBTQ-inclusive policies, programs and practices:
The LGBTQ+ Culture Center (formerly GLBT Student Support Services) serves as a resource and information center for campus and community individuals, groups, events, and activities. We provide a welcoming environment for queer people as well as individuals seeking to grow in their understanding of LGBTQ+ issues. We’re also here to support those who may experience harassment or discrimination.
We’re part of the Office of Diversity, Equity, and Multicultural Affairs and work with other cultural centers and campus offices to create a positive, welcoming environment for all students. Student organizations and community groups also provide support and numerous social and educational opportunities.
You can find a great book, film, or zine at the LGBTQ+ Library; browse upcoming events; find a group to join; and sign up for our weekly newsletter. And if you don’t find what you’re looking for online, contact us at glbtserv@indiana.edu.
