The Living Wage Calculator lists $10.67 as the living wage for Monroe County, Indiana, where our campus is located. Indiana University Bloomington has a minimum wage of $10.15 per hour, which means that the lowest paid employees fall just below this value.

For staff and temporary employees at IU Bloomington, the percentage earning under $14.00/hour is 53%. Keep in mind that student employees are included in that figure which increases it significantly. For appointed staff at IUB (non-temporary) the percentage earning below $14.00/hour is only 9%.
