Does the institution have policies and/or guidelines in place to improve outdoor air quality and minimize air pollutant emissions from mobile sources?:
Yes
None
A brief description of the policies and/or guidelines to improve outdoor air quality and minimize air pollutant emissions from mobile sources:
IU's Transportation Demand Management plan details goals and recommendations for increasing sustainable transportation options on campus.

Has the institution completed an inventory of significant air emissions from stationary sources on campus?:
Yes
None
A brief description of the methodology(ies) the institution used to complete its air emissions inventory:
The emission inventory is calculated based on emissions factors for IU Bloomington's various emission units and the amounts and types of fuels burned in each unit. The emissions calculated for four of the pollutants are then used to determine compliance status and to calculate annual fees.

Weight of Emissions | |
Nitrogen oxides (NOx) | 87.34 Tons |
Sulfur oxides (SOx) | 184.94 Tons |
Carbon monoxide (CO) | --- |
Particulate matter (PM) | 5.84 Tons |

A brief description of the institution’s initiatives to minimize air pollutant emissions from stationary sources, including efforts made during the previous three years:
In recent years, IU has switched from being a primarily coal-powered institution to using almost exclusively natural gas at the Physical Plant. This has resulted in an overall drop of 1497.47 tons of emissions from the calculated sources since 2011-2012.
