A brief description of the innovative policy, practice, program, or outcome :
Both IU Bloomington campus buses and the Bloomington Transit buses are linked through GPS to DoubleMap. DoubleMap is available as a free app on Android and Apple smartphones and devices, and online on the bus systems' web sites. This allows riders to track the exact locations of the buses, making public transportation a more convenient and viable option for commuters.
The application was developed by IU students, with assistance from a number of stakeholders across campus, and financial assistance from the IU Student Association.

The program aims to make the bus a more convenient option, with the goal of reducing commutes by personal vehicle and the increased use of public transportation.
