During the 2017-2018 plan year, the Office of Equity, Diversity and Inclusion, in conjunction with the Office of Human Resources, emphasized increased recruitment effort, advertising, and training for search committees in these particular areas (associate VP, full professors, instructors lecturers, other educators, student service professionals, IT professionals, engineering professionals, administrative support workers) with the overall institutional goal of an increase in the diversity of applicant pools.
The Council on Inclusive Excellence compiles an annual report for diversity among students and employees. Information such as employee/student ethnicity/minority status/ability level/etc. and employee/student complaints were included as ways to state whether or not goals were met.

The report is presented to the Board of Trustees and recommendations for following years are provided. The Council on Inclusive Excellence continues to try and implement the recommendations.
