A brief description of the methodology the institution followed to complete the research inventory:

Our Institute for Community Sustainability has a faculty, staff, and student fellows program that is voluntary, but the fellows commit to submitting a grant, publishing a paper, or giving a professional presentation on some aspect of their original research in sustainability. We track these fellows each year and have them commit each year to some effort in sustainability. The faculty and staff that have made this commitment are listed in this section.

A brief description of notable accomplishments during the previous three years by faculty and/or staff engaged in sustainability research:

Three publications have come out on the topic of sustainability from ISU:

2016. Sustainable Campus Index. Association for the Advancement of Sustainability in Higher Education.

2015. STARS Annual Review 2014. Association for the Advancement of Sustainability in Higher Education.

Obermiller, C. and Atwood, A. 2014. Sustainability Literacy: Scale Development. Albers Schools of Business, Seattle University.

Students will have to analyze original data as they examine sustainability at ISU. They will also write a final report and present that report to the class and other classrooms around campus.
